15th Amendment
The 15th Amendment to the United States was ratified on February 3, 1870. The amendment prohibits any government to deny somebody the right to vote based on race, color or previous servitude. This amendment, along with the 13th and 14th Amendments, drastically changed life for African Americans. Now, African Americans had the right to vote a big step toward equal rights.
